Fournisseurs d’accès à internet réagissent à l’étranglement

Selon le site du Conseil de la radiodiffusion et des télécommunications canadiennes (CRTC), l’association des fournisseurs d’accès à Internet du Canada (la Canadian Association of Internet Providers ou CAIP) a déposé une requête officielle pour exiger que Bell Canada cesse ses pratiques d’étranglement d’internet au profit du traffic de partenaires commerciaux.

Selon le document,

This Application seeks to have the Commission enforce tariffs that have already been reviewed and approved by the Commission and it seeks to restrain anti-competitive behaviour on the part of Bell. Thus, the relief requested in this Application is intended to “ensure the technological and competitive neutrality” of the interconnection and wholesale services provided by Bell to independent ISPs and to promote competition from new technologies that are enabled by the Internet and ADSL access technology.
